Team Verrico will mark its official launch as a charity by hosting a summer ball at the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe on 19 July 2014.
Team Verrico became a charity in 2014 following the devastating loss of Anna Verrico to Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) in November 2013. The charity - whose trustees include Anna's husband Paul and the Scunny Bunny - aims to raise money to fund research into cancers, particularly TNBC, and to provide support to those affected. All proceeds from the charity launch night will go towards furthering these aims.
The charity will welcome over 400 supporters to join an evening of live music, food and fundraising. Phil Crosbie and Anna Lundy will host the black-tie ball which will include a raffle and auction as Team Verrico looks to raise funds for its cause.
Live music on the night will be provided by three exciting acts. American singer-songwriter, Tom Kimmel, one of Anna's favourite musicians, is taking time out from touring Ireland to attend the event and local band Rita Payne will add to the bill just week after releasing their second album. In addition, fourteen year old composer and pianist Sam Young takes to the keys with a mixture of classical and jazz as well as a short piece written especially for Anna. All three of the acts have something a little special in store!
Tickets costing £45 (individual) or £360 (table of 8) are available now at www.teamverrico.org/tickets and include 3-course meal, wine and fizz reception.
